Does not taste anything like bbq. May too much celery in the mix that overpowers every single other seasoning in there other than the salt. Would not recommend.

Obviously, I couldn't sample this until after I paid for it. Upon opening it to prepare our pork, I was overwhelmed by the celery. Only one other review for this product, and I wholeheartedly agree with it, except I would give it '0' stars if i could. I began by emptying the entire container into a bowl and trying to improve it. After a 1/2 hour, I threw in the towel. Nothing could "dumb down" the overpowering celery. It just got progressively worse. I ended up dumping it all in the trash and starting from scratch. Kind of defeats the whole "pre-made" convenience thing. I lost the initial cost of this rub + additional ingredients + my time + the trip to the store to purchase this, when it couldn't be made palatable. I won't be purchasing anything from "Backyard Pro" again. It doesn't even look like the photo above. It's actually brown/green, because its basically celery salt/seed. In a nutshell, this is the worst seasoning product I have ever purchased.
