Having vended at the farmer's markets for seven years now I've gone through couple of sets of weight bags. Some were really short-lived due to poor material. I bought those bags because I know Webstaurant is standing behind the quality. The material of the bags is somewhat okay, but I've had them only for few months, so I cannot really tell how it will hold up. However, the problem is poor design. The carrying handle seems like a good idea, but when the bags are full, they tangle off balance and put unnecessary strain on hand/arm, making it hard to lift and carry. The straps to secure the bags around the legs of the tent are too short. One has to set the weights around the tent legs very precisely, or the straps won't reach the sticky part at all. It makes me worried if this super short overlap of the strap will actually hold with windy weather.

There is no way to avoid buying them. If you have a tent you need the weight bags.
